Oudshoorn out, Ceneviz in at Apollo Vredestein

Oct. 22, 2012

Rob Oudshoorn, CEO of Apollo Vredestein B.V., has decided to leave the company. He will be "relieved from (his) services" on Dec. 31, 2012, according to Apollo.

Oudshoorn is leaving to join the executive board of the Dutch company Pon Holdings, "and we wish him all the best in his new endeavour," says Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director of Apollo.

"We place on record the valuable services Rob has rendered to the company in the last 18 years as CEO of Vredestein Banden B.V. and thereafter as CEO of Apollo Vredestein B.V. Post the Apollo acquisition, Rob has been active in the integration process of both the companies and has played a leadership role in the growth and profitability of Apollo Vredestein BV.”

Luis Ceneviz, currently CEO of Apollo Tyres South Africa, is the intended successor to Oudshoorn.

Ceneviz has more than 30 years of experience in the tire industry, having also worked with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in various global locations, including India. Riaz Haffejee, COO of Apollo Tyres South Africa, will replace Ceneviz as CEO.
