Zafco's Martino Tire selects VAST Enterprise software

Sept. 19, 2012

Martino Tire Co., a six-store retail chain based in Miami, Fla., has selected Aftersoft Network N.A. Inc.'s VAST Enterprise to support its expansion plans, which include the addition of a commercial warehouse and seven retail stores in 2013.

Martino also expects to add 27 more retail stores and three warehouse locations by 2015. That would give the dealership 40 retail stores.

Based in Miami, Fla., Martino Tire was acquired by Zafco Retail Inc., a subsidiary of Zafco Trading LLC, earlier this year. Zafco Trading is a global tire and automotive organization with headquarters in the United Arab Emirates. Martino Tire sold off its wholesale division in 2007.

(In April, Zafco Trading signed an agreement with Pirelli Tyre SpA  that enables the company to use the Armstrong brand under license for five years, "with an understanding to acquire the brand from Pirelli within five years.")

"We know that VAST will be the perfect solution for Martino Tire as we expand our operation," says Minoo Mehta, general manager of Zafco Retail.

"It will enable us to address our current operational issues and will provide us with a platform to support future growth. We will integrate VAST with our current back-end system as soon as possible."

VAST Enterprise software will be used to enhance and improve operating processes and sales management capabilities. The system also will help pave the way for future improvements to the business and enhance the service Martino offers to its customers.

"Martino has very ambitious plans for growth," says John Fischer, vice president of sales and marketing for Aftersoft. "Our experience integrating with other back-end systems and VAST's rich, flexible feature-set will provide their staff with the tools to effectively manage their growth for the next several years."
