Aftersoft Network NA has released VAST 7.5, the latest version of its VAST Enterprise business management software for tire dealers and automotive service centers.
The result of months of development and liaison with users, VAST 7.5 offers a wealth of functionality that helps users reduce costs and improve productivity, says the company.
Building upon VAST's extensive connectivity and electronic ordering functionality, this latest update includes a new, optional module called vItemBroker. This new module allows tire dealers to see real time stock availability and pricing from multiple suppliers -- all on a single screen. Users can then select the parts they require, automatically create and submit a purchase order, and add these parts to a work order, all in one easy step.
VAST 7.5 also includes vJobWriter, an optional module which provides users with the ability to create custom jobs by specifying each task to be completed in the service. Once a job has been created and saved, it can be selected for use at any time. Whenever a custom job is quoted, the system automatically creates a part for vItemBroker. Building upon the functionality in vItemBroker, end users have the ability to select and order the appropriate items to complete the service.
Additional new features include:
* Capture, print and store the current tire tread depth, and tire pressure
* Automatically print vehicle specifications for torque and tire pressure on the customer workorder
* Enhanced service comment capabilities
* Automatically print vehicle inspection forms
* Enhanced product search functionality
* Customized tire selling screen including user defined fields
