50 first-time tire companies will attend GTE

Sept. 4, 2012

The Global Tire Expo – Powered by TIA is gearing up for a strong manufacturing presence in 2012. The event is a part of the 2012 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) says that Continental Tire the Americas LLC, Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., Falken Tire Corp., Pirelli Tire North America, Hankook Tire America Corp. and Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. are all returning this year.

“The return of such a prominent group of manufacturers is important proof of just how essential the Global Tire Expo is to the advancement of the tire industry,” says TIA President Larry Brandt.

“GTE is a perfect melting pot of all kinds of tire businesses. With so many outstanding companies convening in the same location for one special week, there is no better place to both get a thorough look at what’s new in our industry and to keep your business updated on the newest information.”

TIA says GTE’s lineup and years of previously successful shows has also helped to bring out a record-breaking list of new exhibitors this year. There are currently 241 tire companies from around the globe signed up to exhibit. Fifty of those businesses are making a first-time appearance at the 2012 SEMA show.

“With products ranging from tire installation tools to tires for virtually every type of vehicle, these new manufacturers will serve to both diversify our show’s line-up and to provide better options for our attendees than ever before,” added Mr. Brandt.  “GTE is the place to effectively see to all of your business’s needs in one, easy location.”

The Global Tire Expo and SEMA Show will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Tire Industry Association special events take place Monday, Oct. 29. For more information visit www.tireindustry.org.
