Potenza RE97AS rides in style on '13 Caddy XTS

Aug. 20, 2012

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) announced that its new 20-inch Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS tire is standard original equipment on the 2013 Cadillac XTS Platinum Collection luxury sedan. The company says this is the highest level package available on the XTS.

The same ultra high performance tire is also available as an optional upgrade on the Premium Collection version of General Motor’s new flagship vehicle in the Cadillac passenger car lineup.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS underwent more than two years of development prior to being released. The tire, a P245/40R20 95V, was specially designed to deliver a quiet ride while also exhibiting the handling characteristics, traction capabilities and improved fuel economy now expected from today’s luxury sedans.

“The Cadillac brand is synonymous with luxury and performance, and we know that the Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS will be an important contributor to the luxury driving experience delivered by a truly exceptional vehicle,” said Michael Martini, president, Original Equipment, U.S. and Canada Consumer Tire Sales Division, BATO.

Manufactured at BATO’s facility in Wilson, N.C., the Bridgestone-brand Potenza RE97AS is a V-speed rated, all-season ultra high performance tire that will be launched on a wider, replacement tire basis in 2013.
