Literally on track: Michelin and racing

Aug. 17, 2012

The relationship between racing success and tires is a symbiotic one that affects more than just results on the track.

Modern Tire Dealer's Neal Weingart recently visited the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, to talk with two American Le Mans Series (ALMS) heavyweights. In these exclusive interviews, he talked with:

* Doug Fehan, program manager for General Motors Racing, about GM's relationship with its technical partner, Michelin North America Inc.

* Silvia Mammone, Michelin and BFGoodrich motorsports marketing manager, about 1) how Michelin approaches ALMS racing and its teams, and 2) exisiting and future technical developments in the series.
