Continental AG achieved record annual sales and earnings in 2007, the sixth consecutive time it has done so. Continental boosted its sales by 7.2% to 15.9 billion euros and achieved consolidated operating results of 1.8 billion euros, a 14.9% jump.
"We intend to consistently continue our record streak this year," says Continental Chairman Manfred Wennemer. "We are setting clear targets," including an increase in sales.
Looking beyond 2008 into the following year, Wennemer says Continental intends "to generate growth of around 5% in line with our strategic goals."
