Brembo SpA posted net profit of 62.4 million euros on revenues of 912 million euros for fiscal 2007 ended Dec. 31, 2007. That compares to net income of 42.9 million euros on sales of 806 million euros in 2006.
Based on the year-end exchange rate, Brembo recorded net profit of $91.1 million on sales of $1.3 billion in 2007. As a percentage of sales, the company's net income increased from 5.3% in 2006 to 6.8% in 2007.
Brembo's fourth-quarter results buoyed the bottom line. Revenues were up 15.5% for the quarter versus 4Q 2006, while net profit was up 75.5%. Revenue growth was driven by applications for racing ( up 51.2%) and for motorcycles (up 47.3%).
