TGI adds Mastercraft to its growing exports

July 27, 2012

Tire Group International Inc. (TGI) has been busy. It's new two-year, exclusive agreement with Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. to distribute Mastercraft tires is the third agreement with tire manufacturers and marketers in three days.

The deal with Cooper gives TGI distribution rights to the Mastercraft brand throughout Central America and the Caribbean. As part of the agreement, which runs through December 2014, TGI also will provide marketing and sales support for Mastercraft in the form of product promotions and dealer training.

"This new distribution agreement is a natural extension of our existing relationship with TGI," says Phil Caris, Cooper's vice president of sales. "With their base in Miami and knowledge of Central America and the Caribbean, TGI is well positioned to provide existing and future customers an opportunity to expand market share with Mastercraft in these regions."

TGI also will be a fill-in distributor for the Cooper brand in the Caribbean, allowing customers in the region who currently buy direct from Cooper the benefit of a quick source of supply when required.

TGI recently announced agreements to distribute tire brands from Tireco Inc. and the Alliance Tire Group in Latin America and the Caribbean. For more on those deals, check out these links:
