AAIA promotes Luckett to chief information officer

The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) has named Scott Luckett chief information officer (CIO). Luckett joined AAIA in 1997 and has served as AAIA vice president of technology standards since 1999.

As CIO, Luckett has overall responsibility for the association’s information resources and processing environment, as well as management of AAIA initiatives in the areas of telematics, supply chain and category management.

Luckett serves as the staff liaison to the Technology Standards Committee and executive director of the National Catalog Managers Association, a segment of AAIA.

He has directed the development and implementation of e-commerce technology standards, including the Aftermarket Catalog Enhanced Standard (ACES), Integrated Shop Standard (iSHOP), Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES) and Internet Parts Ordering (IPO).

AAIA 's more than 23,000 members and affiliates manufacture, distribute and sell motor vehicle parts, accessories, service, tools, equipment, materials and supplies. Through its membership, AAIA represents more than 100,000 repair shops, parts stores and distribution outlets.
