Telephone and email services are up and running again at Tire Industry Association (TIA) headquarters in suburban Washington, D.C.

After the devastating storm that rolled through the region last Friday night -- it left 1.2 million people without power  --  telephone and e-mail connectivity wasn't restored until late Tuesday, July 3. TIA offices were without power until late Monday, July 2.

"TIA thanks everyone for their patience during this outage and the hardworking crews from around the U.S. and Canada for assisting in the restoration of services," says TIA. "The TIA staff is busy replying to messages and (looks) forward to processing all emails as soon as possible."
