Goodyear says 'follow the leader' at Daytona

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will use this weekend's Daytona 500 to unveil the latest TV spot in its "Get There" advertising campaign.

The commercial, entitled "Follow the Leader," will show the Goodyear blimp flying toward a racetrack with race fans and drivers recognizing the airship.

"The final scene shows the blimp in flight with lines of traffic following (it) to get to the track," say Goodyear officials.

"The Daytona 500 is one of the most attention-getting sporting events in the world," says Marty Kozar, Goodyear's director of marketing services. "This event... is a perfect platform for Goodyear to launch new advertising for 2008."
