Automotive Distribution Network names VP

June 28, 2012

Gil Gunn has been promoted to vice president of product for the Automotive Distribution Network, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Network.

“Since 1993, Gil has helped take our group to the next level in the industry,” Lambert says. “In his former position as vice president of marketing, his input into the development of the Network’s marketing and training programs greatly benefited the independent business owners who are the backbone of the association. In his new role as vice president of product, Gil brings fresh ideas to this area and a wealth of experience.”

Gunn’s career dates back to when he was 10 years old selling auto parts in a jobber store. From there, he managed a parts store in college and later ran a jobber location with service bays in the back. Gunn moved on to working as a factory rep, eventually becoming vice president of sales and marketing for J.C. Hamilton Co., before joining Parts Plus in 1993.

“I’m looking forward to building upon the foundation of solid relationships the Network has established with our manufacturer partners,” Gunn says. “I plan to bring a marketing perspective to the position that will further strengthen our product strategy and help the Network and our vendor partners grow exponentially.”

Operating under the brands of Parts Plus, IAPA, Auto Star, Auto Pride, CMB and Network Products, the Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest, most diverse program groups in the industry.
