June 26, 2012

The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) has appointed William “Skip” Potter to the position of the organization’s Executive Director.

Potter assumes the day-to-day management of NASTF July 1, 2012.

“The NASTF board selected Skip from an impressive list of candidates. His background, knowledge and experience make him the ideal choice to take NASTF to the next level,” said Ron Pyle, NASTF chairman.

Potter’s professional life has been dedicated to the automotive service industry. He spent the past 24 years in association management providing expertise in non-profit entrepreneurship, volunteer development, financial management, and meetings/events management.

Most recently served as Executive Director/CEO of the Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA), and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Employee Federal Credit Union. Potter will be based in Jacksonville, Fla.

“As I watched the development of NASTF from the bold projects in Arizona 13 years ago and later sat through several crowded NASTF annual meetings in Las Vegas I was always impressed by the work of their talented and dedicated volunteers,” Potter said.
