Falken Tire Corp.’s new Azenis UHP tires, the FK453 and FK453CC, are now available for sale.
Falken tested the FK453 on the streets of Europe, and it was engineered and produced in Falken’s facilities in Japan. The FK453 has key fitments for sports cars such as the Porsche 911 Carrera and Lamborghini Gallardo.
Falken says the FK453CC is perfect for performance CUVs such as the Porsche Cayenne and the BMW X5.
The rigid carcass in the FK453 has a high tensile strength and an asymmetric tread design that features a new silica enriched compound.
With a multitude of sizes, the FK453 is available from 17-inch to 22-inch wheel fitments, while the FK453CC is available from 17-inch to 20-inch wheel fitments.
“This product features the latest in Falken’s engineering and technology, making it the ultimate driving tire,” said Andrew Hoit, Falken’s marketing VP. “We are combining the launch with an aggressive marketing campaign that will include print ads, television commercials and the giveaway of a 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera in a national sweepstakes.”
The Azenis FK453 and Azenis FK453CC were introduced at the 2011 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas, Nev., during the Global Tire Expo sponsored by the Tire Industry Association Oct. 31-Nov. 4.
