Nominate someone for TIA’s Hall of Fame

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for the 2012 Tire Industry Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame is open to individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, tire association executives, tire dealers, tire and rubber recyclers and retreaders.

"The Tire Industry Hall of Fame has recognized the tire industry's brightest and best, and we look forward to choosing another select group of individuals for this year's honor," said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

Past inductees include Bill Fountain of Fountain Tire, John Gamauf of Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire, LLC, Onkar Kanwar of Apollo Tyres and Ralph "Buddy" Snow of Oliver Rubber.

Inductees are chosen based on the following criteria: their contributions of new ideas, practices and/or innovations that promote the health and well-being of the tire industry; their exemplary and distinguished service in the tire industry; and the respect of their peers.

The Hall of Fame Inductions will take place October 29, 2012 as part of TIA's Tire Industry Honors event, which takes place prior the Global Tire Expo - Powered by TIA/SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev.
