CIMS teams with RMA for Tire Safety Week

May 14, 2012

CIMS Inc. is supporting the Rubber Manufacturers Association’s annual effort to increase tire safety awareness during Tire Safety Week, June 3-9, 2012.

“With fuel prices and the cost-of-living rising, it’s important to keep your car or truck in top, efficient condition, including maintaining safe tires,” saiys Susan Kruder, president of CIMS. “And when you mention tires, it’s important to ensure that they are also registered in case of a safety recall.”

During Tire Safety Week, CIMS will send out reminders to its clients on the importance of educating their customers about tire safety. The reminders will reference the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and its committment to tire safety.

“We believe the RMA and the tire industry have a solid commitment to auto and tire safety, and we also believe that tire registration is an integral part of that process so that consumers can be quickly notified in the event of a safety recall,” says Kruder.

“It just makes good sense to reaffirm one’s commitment to safety as often as possible, and the RMA’s Tire Safety Weekhelps us all focus on this. It makes the consumer more confident of the product, more trusting of the seller and, ultimately, a safer driver.”

During Tire Safety Week, CIMS also will remind motorists that tire registration is a mandate of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

CIMS is a privately owned, independent company that provides products and services to tire manufacturers, private brand owners and tire dealers to facilitate the entire tire registration process.
