Tenneco supplies exhaust parts to Jeep Wrangler

May 14, 2012

Tenneco Inc. has got the Jeep Wrangler covered with exhaust parts.

The company's DynoMax Performance Exhaust division has added an off-road “Evolution Competition” system for 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler 3.8L V6 models to its lineup.

"Ideal" for rock crawling and lifted Jeep Wrangler JKs, according to the company, the new system (Part No. 39516) is designed to dump the exhaust in front of the rear axle, providing the space and flexibility necessary for an off-road suspension system and extreme off-road use. This exhaust kit was designed in collaboration with Off-Road Evolution.

The new DynoMax Evolution Competition system includes the following:

* a stainless steel DynoMax Ultra Flo polished round muffler, engineered to maximize exhaust flow and provide an aggressive, unique tone. The Ultra Flo muffler supports up to 2,000 cfm and 2,000 horsepower through a straight design "that ensures unrestricted exhaust flow and reduces backpressure."

* a 2.5-in. all 409-grade stainless steel, mandrel bent pipe for extended protection against corrosion, and two stainless steel 2.5-in. band clamps. The kit also features other necessary hardware and instructions for an easy, bolt-on installation.

Every DynoMax product is backed by a limited lifetime warranty and 90-day "Performance and Sound Guarantee." For more information about DynoMax Performance Exhaust products, visit www.DynoMax.com.

Tenneco's new Rancho performance exhaust pipe kit (Part No. RS720003) is designed for the 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK 3.6L V6 model. The company says it provides an exhaust solution for JKs equipped with an aftermarket suspension system -- it allows for the use of suspension lift kits that raise the vehicle between two and five inches.

“Our Rancho engineers worked closely with our DynoMax engineering team to develop this simple solution for lifted JKs,” says Chris Gauss, national sales manager for performance products. “It truly is an example of how we continously bring engineering excellence to the Jeep market in both the performance exhaust and suspension categories.”

Designed to prevent contact between the crossover pipe and the front driveshaft, the Rancho exhaust pipe allows for additional driveshaft clearance and downtravel from the suspension. Installation time is one hour.

The new Rancho pipe kit features 409-grade stainless steel mandrel bent piping to allow smooth, free-flowing exhaust travel. The kit, which retains the vehicle’s equalized OEM downpipe, also includes necessary two-inch clamps and instructions for a fast and simple installation.

The Rancho pipe kit is made in the United States. For more information about the Rancho options for 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKs, visit www.gorancho.com.
