Canada's President Tire is neither gone nor forgotten by Remington Tire Distributors

Feb. 6, 2008

Remington Tire Distributors Inc. is in the process of revitalizing the President Tire banner, which will keep it waving across Canada.

The Sherwood Park, Alberta-based company acquired the assets of President Tire Canada in July of 2006. They included 10 distribution centers and 200-plus retail franchises.

President Tire was managed and administered by Tirecraft Auto Centres, which is owned by TGI, prior to Remington taking over the responsibility. Now it's time to grow the brand.

"We believe that having the President Tire banner is a wonderful opportunity for our organization," says Greg Lamothe, vice president of sales and marketing. "We will look to revitalize the President Tire Program to ensure that our members are successful retailers across Canada and become a household name to consumers."

Lamothe says Remington will continue to add dealers to the President Tire network. "We pride ourselves with a strong commitment to customer service and promise to provide the necessary products to meet the demands of today's consumers," he adds.

Remington Tire is Canada's largest tire distributor with 21 distribution centers coast to coast.
