GITI Tire (U.S.A.) Ltd. says its new GT876 wide-base truck tire will probably be available during the third or fourth quarter of 2008.
The GT876, which will be available in size 385/75R22.5, is for mixed-service applications. It contains three grooves with a solid shoulder design and an anti-chip and cut compound, says John Hull, GITI vice president of sales, fleet development. It's currently being used in Europe.
GITI is displaying the tire at this week's Technology and Maintenance Council Show in Orlando, Fla.
