The Tire Industry Association (TIA) says there is still time to sign up for this week’s Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) program, April 17-20, 2012, at Joliet Junior College, Joliet, Ill.

The training includes comprehensive instruction on all proper procedures for servicing passenger and light truck tires, including tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). TIA says the e certification reduces liability exposure because technicians must demonstrate proficiency in both the classroom and in the shop.

TIA Certified ATS Instructors are qualified to train and certify technicians back at your company, letting retailers standardize training by establishing consistency and quality control in every location and with every technician.

Interested companies can visit the TIA's website, www.tireindustry.org or contact Christine Marnett, Director of Training, at cmarnett@tireindustry.org or (800) 876-8372, ext. 106 for more information.
