WinPlus settles, then partners with Bosch

April 10, 2012

Robert Bosch LLC and WinPlus North America Inc. have reached a settlement in a pending Section 337 investigation instituted by the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) concerning Bosch beam wiper blade patents.

In the settlement, WinPlus agreed to stop selling beam wiper blade products sourced from its current supplier at an agreed upon date.

"We're going to continue marketing beam wiper blades, but we will be doing so in partnership with Bosch," says Dan Sheehan, CEO of WinPlus.

The remaining terms of the settlement agreement are confidential.

Bosch and WinPlus filed an agreed motion in the ITC Action requesting that the ITC terminate the investigation against WinPlus.

WinPlus has three product divisions: wiper blades (Valvoline, Windex), automotive safety electronics (Yada) and interior excessories.
