Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. will announce its first-quarter 2012 financial results before the market opens on Wednesday, May 2. Company management will discuss the financial results in a conference call beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time that same day.

Cooper Tire reported net income of $253.5 million on net sales of $3.9 billion for its fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2011. That compared to income of $140 million on sales of more than $3.3 billion for fiscal 2010.
