Orland Wolford will become vice chairman of TBC Corp. effective April 1, 2012. He will retain his positions as executive vice president of TBC and CEO and president of the TBC Retail Group.
“Orland has played a critical role in the strategic development of TBC Retail Group, growing the company from 149 company-owned stores to 840, not to mention the integration of the Big O Tires franchise system and leading effort to develop the recently announced merger with Midas Inc.,” says Chairman, CEO and President, Larry Day.
"Orland’s expertise and tenure in the tire and automotive services industry is suited perfectly to lead TBC Retail Group’s expanded portfolio."
Wolford joined TBC in June 2000 as CEO and president of the Tire Kingdom Group. He was elected to the TBC board of directors in January 2007, and was named CEO and president of the TBC Retail Group in April 2008.
Prior to joining TBC, Wolford held senior management positions with a number of leading automotive industry retail companies, including the Firestone Tire & Rubber, Co.
