Ihnken will oversee TBC's company-owned stores

TBC Corp. has named  Bill Ihnken president and chief operating officer of TBC Retail Group’s company-owned store division, effecitve April 1, 2012. Orland Wolford remains CEO and president of TBC Retail Group.

The division is made up of 840 tire and automotive service centers operating under the following names:

* Tire Kingdom,

* National Tire and Battery (NTB),

* Merchant’s Tire and Auto Centers and

* Big O Tires.

Ihnken joined TBC Retail Group in 2000 as senior vice president of operations and was named executive vice president and COO in April 2008.

“Bill is a strong leader who provides valuable insight and direction to our company-owned store division,” says Chairman, CEO and President Larry Day. “His tenure at TBC is a testament to his ability and expertise in the tire and automotive service industry."

Prior to joining TBC, Ihnken held management positions with various automotive retail industry companies, including the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co.
