Dealer Strategic Planning Inc. (DSP) has hired Patrick Smith to assist Norm Gaither in financial analysis and benchmarking for the growing number of tire dealer 20 groups served by DSP.
Smith is a business owner and financial specialist. He currently owns a construction company which is managed by his son and under contract with some of southeast Virginia’s most prestigious residential builders.
He used to own an import auto repair shop and a chain of 17 service station/convenience stores. Norm Gaither, owner of DSP, says Smith has a passion for the auto and tire industry, and that’s where his expertise will be most helpful to DSP’s 20 group members.
"Adding Pat Smith to our organization will allow us to provide even more one-on-one financial guidance for our members,” says Gaither.
“With Pat’s strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets, it will allow us to add more budgeting, cash flow and benchmarking assistance to meet the growing demands by our members. The more they learn about their financials, the more information they want to have. Now we can go above and beyond their expectations, providing more value to their 20 group membership.”
DSP 20 group is in its fourth year of operation and has steadily grown the number of dealers served. There are five exisiting groups; DSP plans to open at least two additional groups this year.
