DENSO Corp.'s sales increased to $9 billion during its third quarter, ended Dec. 31, 2007.
That's a 10.9% increase over the same period during the previous year.
DENSO's third quarter operating income totaled $909.6 million, a 16.9% jump from the third quarter of 2006.
The auto parts manufacturer's consolidated net income totaled $644.3 million, a 19.5% increase.
"Sales growth was mainly due to the increase in domestic and overseas car production for Japanese auto manufacturers," says Koji Kobayashi, senior managing director for DENSO.
