Apollo plans to strengthen brands in Europe

Apollo Tyres Ltd. will launch its ultra-high performance summer passenger tire at the 82nd International Motor and Accessories Show in Geneva, Switzerland. The show will be held March 8-18, 2012.

The tire, available in W- and Y-rated sizes, will be displayed at the Apollo Pavilion in hall 1, Stall 1240. in additon, the booth will showcase the entire range of Apollo and Vredestein tires sold and available in Europe.

In other Apollo news, the latest tire tests by the German Motoring Association (ADAC) are in, and all three Apollo brands tested "produced commendable results," according to the company. The three brands available in Europe are Apollo, Vredestein and Maloya.

Out of the 15 tire brands tested in size 165/70R14, Apollo’s Amazer 3G Maxx ranked in the top four. It shared top ratings with another brand on dry and wet performance with an overall score of 2.3.

While Vredestein is sold across Europe, Apollo was introduced in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Netherlands only last year. The company says it will expand Apollo’s market reach to include Switzerland, Austria and Denmark.
