Hankook hands out another 'key' to success

Feb. 14, 2012

The winner of Hankook Tire America Corp.'s "Great Hit" giveaway is a big fan of Hankook tires.

Surrounded by friends, her parents, aunt and uncle, her husband and two of her three children, Emilie Clayton won the top prize in the contest: a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan -- fitted with Hankook tires, of course.

"Our experience with Hankook has been amazing, and we definitely plan to buy Hankook tires in the future,” said Clayton, a Wapato, Wash., native. She recently received the "key" to the car from Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook Tire America, at Warren Secord Tire Factory in Kent, Wash.

Clayton, who does not typically enter many sweepstakes, added she may now be entering more of them.

Hankook’s ongoing rebate and giveaway programs have been well received by consumers, and have contributed to the company’s overall success in the United States.

"With the Hankook brand in the U.S. growing every day, our mail-in rebate promotions generate excitement for consumers, as well as our dealers,” said Lee.

The ‘Great Hit’ Mail-in Rebate program was available to consumers who purchased four select Hankook tires of any size between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, 2011. Hankook offered consumers who purchased the Ventus V12 evo, Optimo H426 and the Optimo H727 up to $80 off. No purchase was necessary to enter the giveaway.

Hankook will continue its successful ‘Mail-in Rebate’ program this year with a spring consumer promotion that will run from April 1 through June 30, 2012. The details of the program will be announced later next month.

The promotion followed Hankook's previous baseball-themed contest, the "Great Catch" giveaway.
