Oil changes are not a high-ticket item in the automotive aftermarket. There is way too much competition.

The result? The average oil change in 2011 cost $20.55.

However, the importance of the oil change to your business cannot be overstated. At least that's what Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Urlich is suggesting.

In his latest B.O.B. blog, Ulrich tracks the advertised cost of an oil change over the years (with a little help from the 2012 MTD Facts Issue). He also lets others weigh in an how important that service may be.
