Wells Vehicle Electronics has introduced a smog test for use with its GoTech mobile OBDII diagnostic tool.
Available as a free in-app upgrade when using the GoTech device, the smog test allows repair professionals and consumers to identify incomplete powertrain system monitors on their vehicle which may indicate issues related to excessive emissions levels, according to the company.
The GoTech scan tool identifies when the vehicle may be emitting excessive levels of smog emissions and displays easy-to-read test summaries. The tool also provides diagnostic codes for specific powertrain failures, allowing drivers to quickly address emission violations.
