The Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 is designed to help drivers’ conquer winter’s worst by allowing them to stop 33% faster on ice than an all-season tire.
Bridgestone Americas Inc. says the tire features an optimized contact footprint for better control in winter conditions and aggressive block edges to improve snow traction.
The company says the tire’s performance is based on stopping distance in ice rink testing of Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 tires (234/55R17) versus Firestone FR710 tires (235/55R17). Actual results may vary based on proper tire maintenance, vehicle, driving style and road conditions.
