Hercules Tire and Rubber Co. has introduced the Ironman brand iMove Gen2 SUV entry-level all-season sport truck tire.
The new tire replaces the Ironman’s iMove SUV and adds seven sizes – from popular OE fitments like 275/55R20 to trendy plus-sizes like 305/35R24.
“The iMove Gen2 SUV represents the latest launch in a sweeping round of product introductions for Ironman this year – making it the best go-to entry-level brand in the market today,” says Jedd Emans, vice president of marketing for Hercules Tire.
The iMove Gen2 SUV is designed to deliver dynamic highway performance on light truck, SUV and crossover vehicles. Key features of the Ironman iMove Gen2 SUV include:
- asymmetric tread design, with distinct outside and inside tread elements, to enhance handling in wet and dry conditions;
- wide circumferential grooves that maximize water evacuation, improving wet grip and protecting against hydroplaning;
- large contact patch with continuous center rib, which enhances directional stability, steering response and cornering grip at highway speeds; and
- performance-centric design from shoulder to sidewall.
The iMove Gen2 SUV line offers 13 V- and W-rated sizes covering 20- to 24-inch wheel diameters. Available in the U.S. through American Tire Distributors (ATD) and in Canada via National Tire Distributors (NTD), the product will be introduced to the market as iMOVE SUV inventories are exhausted.
The launch of the iMove Gen2 SUV marks the fifth Ironman brand PLT product introduction in 2016. Hercules also introduced in 2016 the iMove Gen2 AS UHP, RB-12 NWS touring, All Country CHT commercial highway and Canada-only Polar Trax winter tires.
