Bridgestone Updates Speedco App for Trucking Industry

Dec. 12, 2016

Bridgestone Americas Inc. has released an update to the mobile app designed for customers of its Speedco Inc. business.

The company says the app serves as a convenient tool for drivers of large diesel trucks (Class 6 through 8) to quickly locate Speedco locations along their planned route.

Many of the enhancements to the app came as a direct result of feedback received from customer surveys and customer reviews of the previous version of the app.   “We believe it is our job at Speedco to keep our customers productive and moving. Providing them with a first-rate mobile app helps us show them that we value their time,” says Chris Ripani, president, Speedco.

“The redesign of the Speedco mobile app gives us a platform to continue to build out features and functionality that drivers need. We believe our app is a tool that our customers can use to become more efficient on the road.” The Speedco app requires access to the mobile device’s GPS services and is able to send push notifications for nearby Speedco locations.  Features of the updated Speedco mobile app include:

  • current weather forecasts;
  • closest Speedco location with en route proximity notifications;
  • search options with detailed store information including hours and services;
  • tap-to-dial phone number links for added convenience; and
  • current Speedco promotions.

The Speedco mobile app is available for Android and iOS devices. On-the-road drivers can download the app in the iTunes and Google Play stores.
