Nokian Tyres plc has released its latest non-studded winter tire product line, the Hakkapeliitta R3 for passenger cars and the Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV.
The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 winter tire features the Nokian Arctic Sense Grip concept features computer-optimized sipes of the symmetrical tread pattern work optimally on ice, snow and bare roads. The different sipes flexibly adapt to varying weather conditions offering relentless grip and enjoyably controlled and quiet driving, according to the company.
The tires also feature diamond-tough Cryo Crystal 3 grip particles in the next-gen rubber compound that boost lateral and longitudinal grip. The microscopic crystals work like built-in studs, creating sharp, tough grip edges inside the rubber.
The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 is available in 68 sizes from 14 to 21 inches. The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV tire is available in 63 sizes from 16 to 21 inches. The entire product range will be available for the winter tire season in fall 2018.
