Jonathon Brenthel, assisted by co-driver Brian Gold, took third in the Spec Trophy Class during the 49th Annual SCORE Baja 1000 race in Ensenada, Mexico on Sunday, Nov. 20.
Holding third place for the final 100 miles of the race, Brenthel finished in an impressive time of 24.33.20.
“After qualifying for the Baja 1000 during SEMA week in Las Vegas, I knew I was in for a challenge with such a tough race,” said Brenthel. “With two weeks of race prep with my brother, Jordan, and Falken WILDPEAK M/T tires on my vehicle, I knew I had a winning combination to take one of the top spots.”
The Baja 1000, made up of just about every type of punishing terrain, is one of the most challenging off-road races of the year.
