Tire Pros Supports Small Business Saturday With General Tires Rebate

Nov. 22, 2016

American Tire Distributors Inc.’s Tire Pros franchise is partnering with Independent We Stand to support Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26. To help drive traffic to member stores, Tire Pros is offering a consumer rebate on General brand passenger and light truck tires.

Tire Pros is featuring a national “Local Dealer Days” consumer promotion entitled, “Give Thanks to Veterans Sales Event” during Small Business Saturday. Consumers can earn up to a $120 mail-in rebates with the purchase of any four new General Tire brand passenger or light truck tires. This is the first promotion where consumers can defer a portion of their rebate to Tire Pros’ “Allies for Independence” campaign benefiting injured veterans through The Independence Fund.  For more information, visit www.alliesforindy.org.

Tire Pros hopes to inspire communities to celebrate their locally owned businesses and urges all of its 740 locations to promote the holiday shopping tradition held the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

“Local is at the heart of what we do and what our elite retailers do,” says B. Quick Chadwick, Director of Marketing for Tire Pros.  “We take great pride in being associated with so many of the country’s best independent tire dealers who are truly a part of the fabric of their communities and remain committed to making an impact, not just talk about it.”

Consistently ranked as the most valuable element of the Tire Pros program, the marketing department has created a dealer toolkit filled with graphics, social media content and other creative marketing ideas to help dealers market both Local Dealers Days and Small Business Saturday.

“We stand together in promoting Small Business Saturday and supporting all local businesses this holiday season,” says Chadwick. “Not only does it feel good to support local businesses, it’s fun too.”

November 26 marks the seventh annual Small Business Saturday, a day to support the small businesses that can create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country. Small Business Saturday was created by American Express in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more customers.

This year, Independent We Stand is making it even easier to shop small through its recently upgraded Buy Local app and gives shoppers a little more incentive to get involved through a Shop Small Selfie contest. The app helps socially conscious consumers to shop, eat, stay and play locally. The selfie contest gives those businesses a little free promotion and qualifies shoppers for one of five $100 American Express Gift Cards.

Independent We Stand is movement of independent business owners across the country dedicated to educating their communities about the importance and strong economic benefits of “Buying Local.”  The organization recognizes the importance of supporting small businesses, the jobs they help create, and the culture they instill in local communities. As of 2014, small businesses nationwide accounted for 63 percent of net new private-sector jobs created and represented 99.7 percent of firms with paid employees, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

“This national event encourages people to reinvest in their communities by shopping with local businesses like our Independent We Stand members,” says Bill Brunelle, co-founder of Independent We Stand. “Locally owned businesses reinvest in the local economy at a 60 percent higher rate than national chains, so Small Business Saturday shoppers will be revitalizing their economies while supporting their favorite local merchants.”
