Joyce Vonada is the new chief information officer for American Tire Distributors Inc. She replaces Liam Durbin, who left ATD last June as part of the company's longterm "strategic shift" in the company.
Vonda (pictured) will report directly to ATD CEO Stuart Schuette.
"Joyce is a seasoned IT professional with the right combination of experience and leadership to drive our digital program to better engage our customers and stakeholders," says Schuette. "Through her guidance, we can leverage new technologies to support our transformational change and deliver a better customer and employee experience."
Vonada brings a breadth of IT retail experience to her leadership role at ATD. After starting her career as a consultant, she held senior management roles with first AutoNation and then Lowe’s Companies Inc., where she led a team of more than 2,500 IT professionals and contractors as senior vice president of information technology and business solutions.
Most recently, Vonada served as CIO for Eden’s Corp. in Columbia, S.C. In that role she leveraged online and social media capabilities in a digital transformation designed to enrich the customer shopping experience and connect centers, retailers and the community in a unique and sophisticated way.
