The new AltiMAX365 AW is the General brand's first product for the growing all-weather segment.

The General brand has entered the all-weather tire market with the AltiMAX365 AW . At its launch on May 1, the tire will be available in 52 sizes, ranging from 15 inches to 20 inches in rim diameter, all with 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification for severe winter service.

"The General AltiMAX365 AW is targeted toward drivers who want a versatile tire providing best-in-class overall performance and optimal traction in deep snow compared to typical all-season tires," say Continental Tire the Americas LLC officials.

"With balanced performance in both wet and dry conditions, this new offering allows drivers the freedom to drive on one set of tires year-round, saving them the cost and inconvenience of tire changes twice a year.

"General Tire’s VAI Technology provides visual alignment indicators alerting the driver to check the wheel alignment. Additionally, a symmetric tread pattern allows for the tire to be rotated, promoting long, even tread life."

The tire - which targets passenger cars and crossover vehicles - also features a 60,000-mile limited treadwear warranty and is backed by the 45- day customer satisfaction trial.

“We are excited to be entering into the all-weather market with this new product offering,” says Travis Roffler, director of marketing, General Tire.

“We aimed to produce a tire that provides confidence in all weather conditions, while maintaining the freedom to drive on a single set of tires year-round. With the AltiMAX365 AW, that is exactly what we are delivering.”
