Huf Has a New App for Servicing TPMS

Nov. 3, 2016

Huf North America Automotive introduced the Intellisens App with HC1000 at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

The new app enables technicians to use a mobile device, instead of a diagnostic tool, to diagnose and configure tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors. It includes a vehicle identification number (VIN) and year make and model look up tool.

With the use of a smartphone (IOS or Android) or a tablet, along with the HC1000 wireless adapter, a technician can diagnose all vehicles and program the Huf Intellisens universal sensors.

As a cloud-based solution, the Intellisens App updates all vehicle data constantly, which eliminates manual updates. Relearn procedures and troubleshooting are also available without the need to go to another source.

“This solution allows the technician to have everything that is required to service TPMS,” says John Stratton, aftermarket director for Huf North America Automotive Parts Manufacturing. “As the use of smartphones and tablets is becoming more popular for technicians in their work environment, we wanted to offer them a solution to simplify the entire TPMS process from a device that is used everyday.”
