Nexen N'Fera Sur4 Goes Back to the Future

Nov. 2, 2016

Nexen Tire America Corp. showcased its N'Fera Sur4 extreme performance summer tire at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in a unique way.

When Tony Angelo, host of Hot Rod Garage, unveiled his 1973 Plymouth Barracuda as part of his "Project Cuda," the Nexen tire was both front and back of center. Angelo used size 245/40R17 tires on the front and 255/40R17 on the back.

The project vehicle also features Trans Am Race Engineering Super-Lite wheels, a 485-horsepower Mopar Performance engine, and a six-speed transmission.

Nexen rates the N'Fera Sura4 10 out of 10 in braking and handling; and 5 out of 10 in comfort, fuel efficiency and wear life. It is available in 20 sizes, including the two used on the '73 Plymouth Cuda -- without the dramatic large white letters.
