Team Falken sponsored driver Albert Contreras took the 2016 4600 class championship during the Ultra4 National Championship’s competition in Reno, Nevada, Oct. 22-23. An additional Falken driver, Sean McNamara took third in the 4600 class for this season as well.

During the Ultra4 National Championship, Team Falken took the top spots on the podium during the 4600 race with Ben Varozza in first, Contreras in second, and McNamara in third.

“Team Falken came to win during this competition and our drivers definitely didn’t disappoint,” said Steve Wong, Supervisor, Motorsports and Events for Falken. “With such challenging courses and tough competition, I was happy to see our WILDPEAK tires could help the team secure such a big victory.”

In the 4500 Modified class, Falken driver Jordan Pellegrino placed third in the qualifying round and second in the finals.

The Ultra4 National Championship is slowly becoming known as “King of the Hammers in a Short Course.” Ultra4 racing combines high-speed off road racing and rock crawling in a vehicle that must be capable of 4-wheel drive. This series challenges drivers to a variety of terrain-based competitions including endurance desert racing, rock crawls and short course racing
