Continental Tires Help Electric Truck Achieve World Record

Aug. 31, 2021

Continental AG recently helped an electric truck secure a Guinness World Records title for the longest distance covered by such a vehicle without a charging stop.

The record - 682.2 miles - was set at Continental's test center near Hanover, Germany, by a Futuricum brand truck made by Switzerland-based Designwerk Products AG.

The electric truck was equipped with Continental EfficientPro tires, which are designed to deliver low levels of rolling resistance.

"The upturn in electric mobility has put an even greater focus on the importance of particularly rolling resistance-optimized tires," says Hinnerk Kaiser, head of product development, truck tires, EMEA, Continental.
