Oct. 21, 2016

With its most recent pledge to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, the Automotive Distribution Network has reached the Gold Lifetime Trustee level of donors.

“The Network is honored to provide ongoing support to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation as a Gold Lifetime Trustee,” says David Prater, president of the Network.

“A pledge to the Foundation is an investment in the future of the industry, helping to ensure the availability of training and education that are the backbones of the business.”

The Foundation is grateful for the leadership the Network has shown in its support of education, especially in the area of scholarship awards, according to Tim Lee, chairperson of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.

“It continues to be the highest compliment a charitable foundation can receive, when its key donors and lifetime trustees are the ‘cream of the crop’ of the industry it serves,” Lee says. “Leading by example with selfless dedication to the proposition of assisting young people find their career path to the aftermarket is certainly in sync with the Foundation’s goals.”

Since 1986, the University of the Aftermarket Foundation has funded millions of dollars of scholarships, grants, research and ongoing educational programs to help develop a strong, knowledgeable aftermarket workforce.

“The University of the Aftermarket Foundation has made a substantial impact over the years, greatly assisting in the education of the industry’s future leaders,” says David Segal, Network chairman and president of Concord, N.H.-based Automotive Supply Associates.

“The Network is proud to support such an effort to continually sharpen business skills and professionalism within the industry.”
