Bridgestone’s Amy Bonder is Auto Care Woman of the Year

The Car Care Council Women’s Board has named Amy Bonder, vice president of sales and strategy for Bridgestone Retail Operations LLC, the recipient of its 2016 Auto Care Woman of the Year award.

The Women’s Board awards program honored two other industry professionals.

The recipient of the Car Care Council’s 2016 Female Shop Owner of the Year award is Judith Zimmerman Walter, CFO and co-owner, Zimmerman’s Automotive in Mechanicsburg, Pa. The Auto Care Woman of Excellence award went to Susan Ulrey, vice president, global customer business unit, ride performance, Tenneco Inc.

All three awards will be presented Tuesday, Nov. 1 at a press conference at The Venetian during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Women of the Year Awards are administered by the WB’s Membership Development Committee. The Woman of the Year is chosen based on her significant leadership and contributions to the auto care community throughout her career. Female Shop Owner of the Year is given to an outstanding woman who has a proven record of excellence in the automotive service industry, and the Woman of Excellence is the WB associate who has provided recent outstanding contributions to the auto care industry.
