Tire Kingdom Inc. has opened its 216th store, a full-service outlet in Hilton Head, S.C.
Last week, Tire Kingdom announced the opening of new stores in Brook Park, Ohio; Statesville, N.C.; and Denham Springs, La.
Tire Kingdom, based in Riviera Beach, Fla., is the third largest independent tire store chain in North America, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
Number two is Prineville, Ore.-based Les Schwab Tire Centers, which has more than 240 shops.
Discount Tire, which is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., is the continent's largest independent tire dealership with 500-plus outlets.
