Big O Tires LLC is partnering with DonorsChoose, a nonprofit that helps provide resources to teachers in classrooms all over America.
To date, Big O Tires has donated more than $63,000, which equates to funding 222 projects in 209 schools with 221 teachers.
DonorsChoose gives teachers the ability to request the resources their specific students need and then have those wish lists filled by donors. The platform says the average cost of a request is $538, and since 2000 DonorsChoose has delivered 7.68 million books, 1.98 million art supplies and funded more than 28,000 school trips.
“We’re extremely excited about the opportunity to make an impact through our partnership with DonorsChoose while living out our Big Hearts promise to make a lasting impact in our communities,” says Al Urban, vice president of marketing for Big O Tires. “It’s our hope that the funds provided by each franchisee will not only bring learning to life, but will also build meaningful relationships within our communities for years to come.”
Big O Tires franchisors operate more than 460 stores in 25 states.
