Vipal Exhibits Treads at Colombia Tradeshow

Vipal Rubber Corp. highlighted its DV-RL and VDE2 tread designs at the41st edition of the National and International Cargo & Logistics Congress, Colfecar for short, Oct. 5-7 in Cartagena, Colombia.

The company says about 1,600 key players in the transportation and logistics market attend the tradeshow.

The DV-RL technology features an exclusive Vipal tread design for radial tires on trailer axles and recommended for long distances on paved roads. The VDE2 design is intended for drive axles on highways and stretches of regional roads.

The company also displayed its Eco tread line, which is produced with a high-tech rubber compound that ensures gains for the carrier. Vipal says Eco treads enable less rolling resistance and lower fuel consumption as a result. Major carriers around the world are already using Eco treads on their fleets, registering fuel savings of up to 10%, according to the company.

Vipal’s booth also showcased the company’s products for retreading and repairs. A videowall featured interactive games about the retreading process for visitors.

There are 13 retreaders in the Vipal authorized dealer network in Colombia. Vipal says they are recognized by certifications such as the Colombian Technical Standard (NTC), which contributes to the development of the tire retreading market as a whole.

Vipal supplies about 90 countries, with its main markets in Europe, Latin America and the United States. In Colombia, the company has a branch office and a distribution center. It also has facilities in the United States, Mexico, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Australia, Argentina and Chile.
