Dan Hutchison, longtime owner and president of Moore's Retread & Tire in Shreveport, La., recently died at the age of 74.
Born in LaCrosse, Wis., to Daniel Hutchison Sr. and Carol Stoll Hutchison, he also was a board member and former president of the Louisiana Tire & Automotive Association.
And he was a member of the Louisiana Tire & Automotive Association's Hall of Fame.
Hutchison was active in his church, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bossier City, La., where he served as church council president and held many other positions.
"Most of all, Dan enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly," says his obituary.
Preceded by his parents; sister, Susan Hutchison Wright; parents-in-law, Chester and Irene Swiggum; sisters-in-law, Carol Swiggum, Jay Swiggum and Joyce Swiggum; and brothers-in-law, Richard Swiggum and Steve Sochotsky, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth, son Danny Hutchison and his wife, Jennifer; son Ryan Hutchison and his wife, Brooke; daughter Stephanie Burlison and her husband, Matt; plus sisters, grandchildren and other relatives.
