Autel is collaborating with CIMS to upgrade its MaxiTPMS ITS600 device. Autel 's John Amato says that in addition "to being able to perform TPMS diagnostics, sensor programming and vehicle relearns, the Autel ITS600 will now have the ability to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) tire registration.
"The compact, wireless ITS600 creates a seamless workflow that can help our customers remain in complete compliance with DOT registration mandates."
"The ability to scan the tire identification number gives our customers additional security and accuracy elements," says Jeff Coffman, vice president of sales and marketing, CIMS.
The enhanced capability also helps "eliminate the potential mistakes and documentation of invalid tire identification numbers," he adds.
And it "enables a fully automated tire registration process that is cost-effective and convenient."
